Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program
The Fredericksburg area site of the Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program (CGEP), coordinated by the University of Mary Washington, is part of an academic network of graduate degree programs provided through Virginia Tech, the University of Virginia, and Old Dominion University.
CGEP allows a student to earn a master’s degree in one of 12 engineering disciplines offered through these universities. Through CGEP’s interactive distance-learning technology, students can communicate with their instructors as well as with students in classrooms at other sites.
Virginia Commonwealth University Nursing Program
Virginia Commonwealth University offers opportunities to registered nurses to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through its Weekend Program at the Stafford campus. Students must have earned their diploma or associate degree in Nursing from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The RN-BS Weekend Program is designed for nurses who work full time, with classes offered one weekend a month on the Stafford campus. There is flexibility within the program as well, since students may set their own pace toward completion, taking as few as three semesters or as long as six years to fulfill all requirements.
